- Michels Solution is used to preserve and transport specimens for examination in immunofluorescence studies
- While not a fixative, specimens can be held at room temperature for five days in transport medium before processing
- This simple salt solution maintains pH, but does not kill most pathogens
- Specimens received in transport medium should be washed in three changes of Michels Wash Solution (10 minutes for each wash)
- Not suitable for FISH studies
- 20mL prefills, green lids
