It’s resistant to abrasion and puncture, yet its flexible, cloth-like properties allow it to drape naturally, following the contours of the patient
Classified as a level 4 device under the new AAMI guidelines for barrier performance, Tiburon surgical drapes provide the highest level of protection available in a surgical drape
Beyond the AAMI standard, Tiburon fabric also passes the even more stringent industry test for viral penetration ASTM F1671
According the AORN’s 2003 Standards, Recommended Practices, and Guidelines, surgical drapes should be as lint free as possible, Tiburon® fabric is lower linting than other currently available surgical drape fabrics when compared in laboratory testing
