Excellent in almost every way
It’s VERY lightweight which is a huge blessing! It’s incredibly easy to fold up and easy to push along while folded. It moves along well with my Mom in the chair except going over some thresholds. I’ve learned to pull her through doorways backwards when I see that the threshold is taller, instead of pushing her through frontward and it works so much better. Other reviews I read before purchasing said the wheels were not very sturdy and some mentioned the front wheels breaking very easily. Pulling the chair over the threshold instead of pushing it through will definitely help with the life of the smaller front wheels. I bought this one because it has larger back wheels and I’m glad I did. The only thing I worry about is the life of the brake handles. Because they are down on the back wheels, there is a tendency to use your feet to lock & unlock them which could easily bend them so you have to be careful. If we have a need for another one, I might try the one with the brakes on the handles. Oh, I love how nice the foot rests attach to the sides of the chair and easily pop out and swing around for use! The last thing is that I believe the stats said the chair could hold 300 lbs. While I’m sure it could hold that amount of weight, I don’t thing it would last very long at all.

Lightweight but sturdy, easy to use
I am a small woman with minor back problems myself, and needed a chair to get my 160 pound husband around. I wanted something relatively compact and definitely lightweight that I could easily lift in and out of the car by myself. This chair has been a life saver for us! It is very easy to open up and fold up for storage. I like that you set latches so that when it's folded up, it stays folded. My husband also has a rollator that collapses, but when I try to pick that up to put in the trunk, it starts to flop back open, and is much more awkward to lift. Another thing I really like about this chair is that even when it's collapsed/folded, you can still wheel it around - that makes it so much easier to slip thru between the 2 cars in our garage. For being so lightweight, the chair is sturdy enough for my husband, and it's very easy for me to push. My only minor complaint is that it's difficult to push over any obstacle like a raised threshold in a doorway - I have had to go around to the front and pull him thru a doorway that isn't completely flat. But for what we need this for, this has been the perfect solution for us.

Great Chair - Not Narrow Enough :(
My mother and I were so happy when we came across this ultra-lightweight chair for my father. He currently has one that is 5 lbs heavier. She's 80 years old, and the heavier chair is getting difficult for her to maneuver. They have a 60 year old home with a bit more than 24" wide doorways. The armrests of this chair do not allow for it to pass through. They make the chair too wide. I read the reviews and questions prior to purchasing and believed it would be all right (albeit a little close). Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.The reason I'm deducting a star is because the measurement listed on the page was slightly misleading. The product width dimension was listed at 23.25 inches. That measurement could not have been the outside of the rubber arm rests; as I mentioned, they are what prevented us from being able to get it through the door way.In all fairness, this is a very outstanding product. We wish it would have worked out.

Extremely durable
I have to admit I was not expecting a whole lot out of this considering the price and the difference bin my mother's real wheelchair that Medicare paid for. I bought this one because I am unable to lift the real full sized one into the hatch of my car. I assumed that this product would not last all that long and I would need to replace it again but considering the price this did not bother me and I considered it well worth it. But to my surprise this light weight wheelchair that I am able to lift very easily (BTW I ama female 5'6" tall and 132 lbs) with no problem at all is very sturdy, well built and has lasted quite a while and I know will last for a long time. I'm sure now that I will not be needing to purchase another one to replace it. I highly recommend.

Good Product
I am very pleased with this product, and would recommend it to anyone trying to transport average weight elderly person. It is extremely light and easy to fold. However, I have made two observations where the manufacturer could make improvements chair.(1) At times it can be difficult to get across some doorways. If there was some type of extension on the back that would allow you to place your foot on the chair to tilt up the front wheels it would be extremely helpful.(2) During the process of folding the chair, you have to be very careful to fold back and lock the foot pedals, it you don't, you find yourself always putting them on because they will fall off!The simple insertion of some type of nut or cap on the top of part of the chair would prevent this from happening.I love the chair!

Not for a larger person
Pros: It is very light weight, which is why I purchased this wheelchair. I needed something that I could get in and out of the car easily. It was perfect. It is easy to fold and compact. Again what I was looking for. Perfect.Con: It is not built to accommodate a larger person. The stated weight capacity is 300 pounds. My husband is 6 feet tall, 225 pounds, and the chair was extremely difficult to push even on level, smooth pavement. It was nearly impossible to get through doors with even a quarter inch jamb. I have another much heavier transport chair that performs very well, but is too heavy for me to lift in and out of the car. I was hoping this was a solution. Sadly, it was not.

Wow, feels heavier than 14 pounds
It does feel heavier, but I guess it isn't. Anyway, my Dad, who refused a wheelchair (he's old & slow, but not handicapped), has actually come to enjoy getting into and out of church, restaurants, and stores, riding in this chair. He even agreed to ride along the path between his garden and the house on one of those 100-plus degree days, when he tried to walk but "ran out of gas." I was able to roll him right to the house. It's been GREAT. My Mom, who's 83 herself, can roll him around and then put the chair in the back of her Prius, no worries. I wish we'd talked Dad into using this transport chair months ago. It's very important that we call it a TRANSPORT CHAIR and not a wheelchair. Dignity must be maintained,.

87 year old, 250 pound male - transport wheelchair is great!
This transport wheelchair is 6 pounds lighter than our previous transport wheelchair - yet it feels sturdier. It arrived assembled, and we tested it immediately - my dad was very comfortable in it once we adjusted the footrest height. The brakes worked well (transport wheelchairs always need to be braced if the person is mobile enough to transfer in and out of the chair). My mother is 86, and this 15-pound transport wheelchair is light enough for her to lift into the back of their SUV, which is a life changer for their being independent to go out.

Great chair but has some limitations.
I love this chair because it is light and easy to lift in and out of the back of the car. Mom loves it because it is comfortable for her. She weights 114 pounds. What I don’t like is that given it is light weight there seems to be a lot of “give” to the chair when I use the foot assist to raise the chair from the front to get over high door thresholds entering offices/buildings, etc. I’ve also gotten stuck on cracks on sidewalks. So consider this if your loved one is heavy. If my mom were 25 pounds heavier, I’d have to buy a wheel chair to transport her and then would need help to get the chair in and out of the car.

It lets me get around the house.
I purchased this to use while I have a broken leg and need to be non weight bearing. I use it primarily in the house but it has been used in going to doctor appointments. It is light, folds tight and is easy to open and close. I can transfer from a recliner to the chair with ease. It turns on a dime, is easy to propel with my feet. A word of caution if it is used as I am using it- make sure it is back up against a firm backing before transferring into it. Because it is so light it can move without you realizing it. I am using it on hard surfaces, I have an idea it would be take more effort to move on carpet. This has been a life saver while my leg is healing & so much easier to use than crutches. It comes fully assembled and even has a cup holder!

Probably the most important equipment to keep my husband at home
Bought this in case my husband would need it to leave the house. But before we had a chance to do that, his pulmonary fibrosis advanced to needing hospice, and he is too weak to take more than a couple of steps; big fall risk! We live in a century old home with small doorways and rooms. We use this transport chair to get him around and into the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room and living room. He can sit at a table in it to eat, watch TV, etc. Great how easy it is for me to maneuver. He is only 135 lbs now, and has shrunk to 5’3. If not for this transport chair with it’s small frame and light weight, I don’t think I could keep him at home until the end.

Rescued Me
Blew the BTH knee out worse than ever before, my arm pits were jelly and I had to get to the Orthopedic surgeon from my car to his office. No way could I crutch that far so, I bought this in red. Best ride, ever. I'm comparing this to hospital wheel chairs, and I've been in a few. Easy to deal with, hubby had no complaints. I'm keeping it for my next BTH knee emergency, the day I finally rip the cartilage completely out. Let's hope that is in a distant future and not any time soon. The chair is light weight, easy to fold, maneuverable. If you need a chair for a great price, this is the one for you.

Front wheels too small
We have been using this wheelchair for several weeks. We like it very much. The quality is excellent. The chair is comfortable and roles very easily on hard floors. However, we have found the front wheels too be too small. When being pushed, the slightest bump causes the chair to come to a sudden stop. Literally, there is a1/8th inch rise at the start of the ramp in the house. The front wheel refuses to ride up onto the ramp without stopping. I have to push from low down on the chair to get it over that bump. I feel this is a design flaw. Either the front wheels are too small or the rubber in the wheels is too hard.

So Easy to Handle!
I purchased this for my 96-year-old mother who is in a memory care unit and it has made transporting her so much easier! It readily folds up and is easier to manage than even her walker! I was able to get her out easily to a restaurant because the wheelchair folds up easily in my trunk. The foot rests hinge back and clip on the sides so it’s not necessary to remove them if not in use. There’s even a couple of little pockets on the back where you can store a key or a mask or similar small items. I am very satisfied with this wheelchair!

Big help compared to 'conventional' wheelchairs when transporting someone
This made transporting someone to appointments a lot easier. So much more convenient to fold up and toss in the trunk (didn't need to put down seats anymore). Lighter and visually appealing. I would have liked if it was easier for the person sitting to put brakes on but I guess the nature of the chair makes that difficult. The problem was that it meant I had to choose between the weight and convenience of this chair or the usability of a standard chair so that the seated person could more easily go to the bathroom, transfer, etc.

Really great little chair
This is a really awesome chair! I recently smashed my left ankle and depend on a wheeled chair for mobility. I weigh 250 pounds. This chair works exceptionally for times and places my regular wheelchair won’t. Very light weight so my wife can easily fold and carry. Pushing easy on flat or downhill pavement and walks. Locks well. Requires a caregiver to push . Narrow enough for many doorways which even my smaller Wheelchair won’t fit. My wife even uses to transfer other stuff and groceries because it rolls so well. Highly recommended!

Great chair
This chair does exactly what it says. It is lightweight which is the reason I bought it. I have a 92 year old mother and it’s easier for me to lift and transport. It handles well and folds easily. The only problem and it’s not really a problem because it’s a transport chair…..it is not a heavy duty wheelchair. (as stated) It will not roll in rocks or terrain easily at all. I knew this when I bought it. It is a chair that I use to take my mom to doctor appointments, etc. and makes my life easier because I can lift it due to its lightweight nature.

Best if used with a lighter weight passenger
This ultralight transport chair is definitely light to fold/pick up. User says it is comfortable to sit in. However, because of the small wheels, with a heavy person in the chair, it will not roll over most thresholds. It comes to a complete halt, and the person must stand up and take a step over the threshold in order for the chair to be moved forward. Pulling it backwards is difficult, also, if the person in the chair is heavy. Really nice chair to use for lighter-weight patients. Came almost completely built.

easy to handle
This transport chair is what we hoped it woulld be which is easy to fold and unfold as well as light weight. As a caregiver and 67 yrs old, it was important to have a chair that was easy for me to manage as i'm the one that has to fold it up and lift it into the back of our car and this chair works well for that. My husband finds it comfortable although, if sitting in it for a while it gets a little tuff on the butt but, it's not really meant to sit in for long periods as a wheel chair would be. I would defininately recommend it to anyone looking for a light weight easy to manage transport chair.

Ultra lightweight and super sturdy
This transport chair is perfect for in home use it’s small enough to fit through standard size door frames and easy to maneuver around furniture. The slightly larger back wheels make it also easier than regular transport chairs to use it outside on uneven surfaces. It’s really lightweight and yet holds up to 300lbs and it fits great under a table. My husband has limited mobility and this chair makes his getting around the house less challenging. The price is great too

PERFECT SOLUTION * HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Age has thrown some major challenges at my Father and although he pushes to overcome them, some have become insurmountable. Walking LONG distances is one of them. This chair is perfect for his situation as he only uses it when we are going OUT (shopping, appointments, dinner etc.). It's easy enough to fold, lift, store, unstore, unfold and setup. It is lighter than a rolling suitcase and just as maneuverable. I would highly recommend this to anyone that may be considering it.

If you're wondering, but it!
I didn't add pics because it looks exactly as packaged, including the pics from other users.I have back pain issues and use this for my parents with mobility issues. It's the most lightweight mobility aid (outside of a cane) that they own. It weighs less and is more compact than a walker! It folds in on itself so it fits in the backseat of my small sedan. It can just as easily fit in the trunk but my own mobility issues prevent me from trying it out.The wheels are small so be warned that you'll feel a bit more turbulence than you would in a wheelchair with bigger wheels, but the trade off is worth it for a 15lb wheel chair.

Love this chair!
We bought this transport chair so that my mom(86) could easily and comfortably attend her grandson’s graduation. It is so lightweight and easy to set up and to put away. We did buy a recommended seat pad which made it even more comfortable. It is not meant for rough terrain as the wheels are small and don’t easily go over big cracks in the sidewalk, small stones, etc. But it really was great for our purposes and we will definitely be using it many more times.

Love this wheelchair!
I was using one of the black large wheeled wheelchairs for my husband and was finding it really difficult to lift in and out of the car trunk. I needed something lighter. This wheelchair has been fantastic. I can easily lift the wheelchair into the trunk without pulling the car out. I did read that some people had a problem with the brakes but I have found them quite sturdy if you make sure that they are fully on. I would recommend this wheelchair to anyone who is pushing their loved one around.

Very nice chair for my mother
We bought this for my 93 yr old mother so we could take her places more easily. It does not replace a wheel chair it is exactly as described. a transport chair. It moves nicely but it does not go over bumps very well. I cannot get it over any curb, so you have to pick and chose what you can do as the operator. Sometimes it was easier to go over a little bump at an angle. It folds up nicely, is light weight for me to load in the back of the car. It took me a while to figure out the brake and how it worked. I was just using my foot to push down the little silver part but to lock it you have to use the lever. All in all it was a good purchase and made life a little easier for my mom and me. Now I can take her to do a little shopping and she loves that!!

So convenient
We got this bad boy for a road trip we were taking my gramie on. It was so convenient. It is surprisingly light weight. Easy to push. Has super convenient pockets on the back. So easy to fold and store. It fit in the trunk/hatchback of my Subaru. We pushed her all around in this chair including 5 miles on the bumpy sidewalks in New Orleans. It wasn't the smoothest ride but it worked! She was able to enjoy all of our adventures because of this chair. And it comes in hotrod red!

Wish I had found this sooner!
Needed a light weight chair for my mother to replace a heavier one we had been using. Her old one was 20 lbs and marketed as light weight. This one is only 15lbs. That 5 lbs makes a huge difference. I was pleasently surprised how smooth it rolled. Folds up easially and compact. The back of the seat has a few small pockets that come in handy for keys masks etc. Only issue was the seat is not padded at all but that is easily fixed with a gel pad meant for wheel chairs that I would use regardless. Would defiantly recommend this product. Wish I had found this sooner.

Doing the job and some
We bought this for my husband's mother who is 86 to take her to appointments and also so that she could go out with us if we went for a walk. It is very lightweight. I easily fold it and pick it up and put it in the back of our car. And it has been surprisingly sturdy so far. We have taken her down park trails a few times, and while the tires look a little worse for wear after a trail that was covered in rocks, they held up. We do plan on staying on the paved, gravel, dirt, or sandy trails now though.

Great accessible wheelchair
Recently purchased this for my grandma and it was fantastic! It is TSA/flight travel compliant and can be used in airports due to foldable functionality. It is very lightweight compared to other models shown on amazon. It seems to be very durable as I was able to push her up and down the streets of san fran with no issues and tackling large crubs, train rails, and chewed up city streets. The wheels showed little to no wear after a week of constant use. The only issue I would have would be how loose one of the wheels came in the box. But it was a quick easy fix with a socket wrench and torque bit to tighten the wheel. (Hot tip: If you are travelling with this on airplanes, you should purchase a 2 ft long bungee cord to hold down the foot rests when folded in because they may swing/fall off. The foot rests are not screwed in and simply rest on a hinge that swings in and out)

Very unstable chair when using for walks.
The light weight transport chair is easy to fold, fits perfect into car truck, it’s been great for inside my home, so I can sit and style my hair. However the chair is not good for a stroll around the neighborhood, it’s very jarring to the body, if you hit a bump just right you can tip the chair. I bought this chair to ease the use of crutches. I just had FAI hip surgery and my right hip is bad as well. I think for the next hip repair I will buy a wheelchair instead.
GeoMa323
Lightweight, easy to fold, and go
Was looking for something lightweight, without the huge wheels and heaviness of mom's regular wheelchair to make it easier for me to pick up and put in the car. This chair fits that bill. Only negative thing is the width of the handles made in difficult for me to maneuver almost like the handles were put on the wrong side, or made for some big burley male. Handles also make chair too wide to fit through her bathroom door at home, which is not a problem for her regular wheelchair. If we hadn't already used it a couple of times, it would get returned.

My Father Now Has A Better Social Life
I'm so happy I got a ""transport"" chair. That means sometime always has to do the pushing. The person sitting cannot wheel themselves.Folding and transporting my Dad's wheelchair truly created an obstacle to taking my father out. This lightweight, easy fold wheelchair is a game changer!!It folds easily ( maybe too easy!... Real Danger of pinching fingers) and I can carry it easily because it is so light weight. Worth every penny!!!

very manageable
This was exactly what I was looking for. I can get my mom in and out of her facility when I need to take her somewhere, plus can get her into her appointments easily. It is very lightweight and I can just put it in the back seat of my car. Plus it folds up and doesn't take up much space in her room when not in use. I am a senior citizen myself, so needed something very easy to manage. This is it! She says it is very comfortable for the short distances we navigate. I would highly recommend it.

Mostly good
Positives1. It's very light - This was the main positive2. Very easy to fold - 2nd most positive3. Rolls well but since the wheel is small, it's hard to go over ridges.Negatives1. It feels like it's going to break at any time since it bends whenever using it.2. The seat is way too wide, I wish they make one in narrower seat so it can go in through the door easier and may even make it lighter.3. Brake is not the best but not the worse.

Great lightweight easy to use portable transport chair
Luckily when looking for a transport chair for my 90 year old parents, I read through the reviews and someone took the time to write a thorough review of this particular chair. It saved me a lot of time and anxiety over which chair to choose. It was exactly as described, came almost fully assembled (minus the foot rests which are easily attached) and fits in the backseat of our van without folding down any seats or rearranging anything....slides right in and out. I am very satisfied.

LIGHT-WEIGHT DURABLE WHEELCHAIR
This light-weight durable wheelchair is a necessity for anyone who transports the handicap, elderly, etc. It has made life so much easier. Mom loves to go on outings with us without becoming overly tired, and I love that it doesn't kill my back off.Such a blessing to be able to take mom to dr., hair, shopping, outings, with us and not have her so overly tired that she might fall later. We get to include her so much more! We cannot think what we would do without her beautiful hot-rod red wheelie.

Lightweight & easy to use
I bought this for my husband who weighs 250 lbs just for transport. We are very happy with it. This wheelchair is actually lighter than his walker with a seat that we had been using. It takes up less space in the trunk. Most importantly, it is very comfortable & easy to maneuver. I like how the foot rests fold back so you don’t need to put them on & take them off each time you use it.
Steven
Good for now
Super easy to fold! It fits in the back of my Mazda CX5. It's also lightweight! Which was super important for me!! My dad weighs about 290 and I can push him in this wheelchair. The only con I see is the wheels. They are small!! Which means my dad cant wheel himself around. Also it makes it's hard to go over bumps. I ordered a cushion to go on the seat to make it more comfortable. The seatbelt does not fit around my dad.

A real caregiver help
With a weak back it was painful every time I had to fold and lift my husband’s traditional wheelchair. I bought this one and it has helped me so much. It’s lightweight, easy to fold and easy to use. It doesn’t have the tight turning radius of his other wheelchair and it isn’t easy getting him over high thresholds but other than that, it’s a dream. I don’t dread his appointments like I used to. We’ll worth the money.
Vicki M.B.
Saves on muscle strain
Extremely lightweight and opens/folds in seconds. Fits in small car trunk. So much easier to maneuver than the bulky wheelchair. Only downside I found is the narrow width of the tires doesn’t make it easy to go over even small doorway thresholds with the added weight of a person. You still have to lift the tires a bit just as you would with a full wheelchair but it is much easier with the light weight.

You can pick it up with one hand
I'm using this to go from the house to the garage, my legs don't work to well any more. I was using canes but my shoulders were getting messed up and my legs would lose feeling from time to time so I thought this would be safer. I don't use the foot rests and I use my canes to propel me. Going to the garage is fun, the drive pitches down. Even going back to the house is easy, it rolls so well. I wanted a transport chair because it folds up narrower than a wheelchair so I can keep it behind the door on my landing without blocking the stairs. I gave the maneuverability only four stars because I'm used to a mechanics seat with four casters. The fixed back wheels require attention when using this by yourself. If someone were pushing me it would be very maneuverable. I'm very happy with it.

Good, except for the footrests
I bought this wheelchair for my father in August 2020, and used it sometimes through May 2021, at which time we switched to using it every day. I can't fully attest to its durability yet, but the only complaint I have right now is that the right side footrest comes unhinged quite easily, especially when I'm folding the chair to put in the car. The footrest doesn't seem to fit into the piece on the wheelchair that keeps it from swinging around. It's annoying and painful (when the footrest falls on my foot). Other than that, the chair works well for transporting my father (~150lbs). There's also a cupholder that can attach to the chair, which is nice, but I removed it since my father doesn't use it. This model doesn't have the handbrakes (which I would recommend to spring for if you can).
